Raclophone

Commissioned for the Palp festival. The specifications were in one sentence: to make a musical instrument from a raclette oven / scraper duo.
Everything becomes information: the positions of the scraper’s arms, the cheese, the temperature of the oven, the proximity of the scraper, the weight of the cheese and the plate… Then each piece of information becomes sound under the musician’s fingers. With Adrien Mayoraz at the controls and Eddy Baillifard at the knife.
